It seems like the scope of Flash has expanded pretty rapidly recently so we’re putting together 2 special Breakout Sessions.
With the emergence of Papervision3D and AS3, realtime 3D is now becoming a realistic possibility in Flash. And with Flash’s video capabilities stronger than ever, pre-rendered 3D is getting used more and more in Flash projects.
So we’re adding an extra dimension to Flash Brighton & are venturing into the realms of 3D using Maya!
Flash Brighton’s very own 3D artist and animator, Sarah Bird from AnimNation (http://www.animnation.co.uk) will be giving an overview of some of the cool things you can do using Maya – from character animation and modeling, lighting and texturing to particles and dynamics.
In the last 20 years, 3D has gone from strength to strength and is now used in a wide range of media. The research and technology that have been developed for this industry is rapidly making it’s move across to the Flash platform – so come along and see where the likes of IK came from and how 3D can be integrated into Flash!
