Zulu Spear with guests Beso Negro April 21, 2012

The long-awaited reunion of Zulu Spear, the Bay Area's famed South African roots band. Six of the original members and several new members perform traditional South African mbaqanga rhythms and harmonies with modern electric instruments, percussion, and horns. Zulu Spear have shared the stage with many renowned artists including Ladysmith Black Mombazo, The Neville Brothers, Tom Tom Club, Dave Brubeck, Wynton Marsalis, and the Grateful Dead.

Supporting Zulu Spear is Beso Negro, a home-grown gypsy swing band that recently returned victorious from their tour to SXSW in Texas.
