In a recent survey at Zambaleta, we found there is one thing that's more universal than music. MEAT! When you take it away, people go crazy, and they call it Carne Vale, Latin for 'farewell to meat.' Venetians put on masks, Colombians throw flour all over themselves, Cariocas take off their clothes. But in the land of vegan tamales and tofurkey, how would San Franciscans welcome lent? There is only one way to find out. Come to Zambaleta on March 6th. Bring your costumes, masks, feathers, and musical instruments. We will play music, dance, eat meat, and drink caipirinhas from 11 am till 11 pm. Come early. Stay late. Celebrate meat!
