Living legends in Japan, YURA YURA TEIKOKU have spent nearly 20 years honing their experimental yet infectious, ecstatic pop-psych sound. Like a uniquely Japanese hybrid of Can, Suicide, Rallizes Desnudes, Quicksilver Messenger Service and Neil Young, YYT have amassed a tremendous following at home but remain criminally unknown elsewhere. But that is beginning to change. Hot on the heels of two rapturously received NYC shows last fall (their first ever shows outside Japan), YYT return July 8th for this special event at Northsix.
