Open House/Call for Interns

Ever wonder what goes on in the heart of a research lab? Ever wonder what the color purple has to do with over 500 million people? Wonder no more. Here’s your chance to hear about our latest research projects, ask us questions (go ahead, try to make us sweat), snoop around a research lab, or just plain meet some people and enjoy a Friday afternoon with drinks and refreshments
(and it's all just two blocks off campus).

Of course we have an ulterior motive. We are hiring a few good interns - and we want to meet you. We are looking for PhD/Master students, or advanced undergrads - and for expertise ranging from Information Retrieval and data mining, to systems and application development, to user experience and visual design. So here’s the deal:

1. Bring your resume
2. Enter your resume in the raffle
3. Learn about the lab
4. Talk to us a bit
5. Win an iPod nano!

Your resume is your raffle ticket. We’d love to talk to you and meet you, but without a resume, you’re not winning the nano (there will be other schwag for you).
