Career transitions are challenging in and of themselves, but combined with global relocation further complicates our identity, connection with culture, and family coming along or left behind.
Join fellow women professionals to discuss stories of international professional growth and successes, strategies and tactics for women transitioning from careers abroad to those here in the Bay Area, and other workforce topics.
You will have the opportunity to hear about the international career transitions of Katharina Rock, Senior Vice President, SAP Labs, and Nyna Pais-Caputi, Senior Associate, Upwardly Global, as well as listen to the perspectives of the founders of European Counseling, Susanne Babbel and Susanne Stolcke, who created their practice to assist professionals dealing with these very issues.
Moderated by GABA WIB Co-Chair Lara Abrams, Principal, Lara Abrams Communications LLC, who has herself made a return transition from Germany back to the US, their stories will be followed by Q&A and networking reception.
Hosted by Bettina Jetter, Founder of Mindjet LLC, a German-founded company she and her husband headquartered in San Francisco.
The purpose of this event series, together with the GABA WIB Listserv (GABA_WIB-subscribe@yahoogroups.com), is to further discussions among women who work in any industry or business, to provide support and solutions, and to build a community for professional development.
What kinds of career transitions have you made, locally or internationally? Please bring YOUR story to share with the group during open discussion.
