In Your Face Is A Mess, which is indeed a line taken from David Bowie's "Rebel Rebel," Spitz follows an aging drug dealer as he extracts himself from his clients' lives and kills the party for everyone.
While Spitz is known as a hipster playwright and music journalist, this show marks the end of a cycle that has generated such buzzed about plays as The Name of This Play is Talking Heads and Shyness Is Nice. "Your Face Is A Mess" is where hipsterdom dies and adulthood begins.
