Your Art Web Presence Workshop May 9, 2009

This is a how-to workshop. It is meant to take artists step by step from the camera to the computer, through image preparation and into the process of getting their art onto the Internet.

"Your Art Web Presence" is a knowledge packed day that covers the following topics in detail: how to load artwork onto your computer; create and organize art folders; what you need to understand about your digital camera; using photo editing software; preparing images for competitions, newspapers, magazines and the Web; how to get a domain name; understand website hosting; structuring a website; learn about blogs and much, much more.

Your instructor will be Dee Overly. Dee is an artist who works primarily in colored pencil. She also has an Internet business and has been building and operating websites for several years. As both an artist and a website builder, she sees the specific needs for artist websites.
