Yonder Mountain String Band October 22, 2005

Formed in 1998 as an opening act, Colorado's Yonder Mountain String Band has quickly made it's way onto the bluegrass & jam-band circuit, earning spots on the main stages at Telluride and High Sierra. The quartet won the New Groove Jammy award in 2001 and continues to gain accolades as they reach new audiences through their energetic live shows. Theirs is an acoustic take on improvisational jams of the new-grass genre. Using mandolin, banjo, bass, and guitar (no drums, nothing electric), they blend tight harmonies, lightning-fast picking, and driving rhythms.
