YOKOHAMA DRAGON BOAT RACE June 2, 2006

YOKOHAMA DRAGON BOAT RACE *Tokyo Gaijins team A*

When: June 3 (Saturday)
Where: Yamashita koen, Yokohama

Come, join in the race, or just cheer-on our team as they compete against the best dragon boat teams in Japan! No experience necessary, just a good level of enthusiasm ;)

A brief description of what will happen on the race:
- Meet at Yamashita koen at 8am
- Orientation, safety briefing and paddling practice
- 9am (first heat)
- 12nn (lunch time)
- 1pm (second heat and party time)
- 4pm (if we make it to the semifinals)
- 5pm (if we're still sober enough to paddle)

You don't even have to be disappointed if we finish the race last coz we're having a PARTY! afterwards, so bring all your friends of all nationalities and let's race against the best and hangout in the sun near by the bay in Yokohama's nicest park "Yamashita koen". We'll have music, frisbee, playing cards, etc. to spice up the party. You have to be there to watch the finals as different teams from all over Japan fight their way to the finish line...

How much: 7,000yen (joining the picnic party is FREE!)
It includes race entry fee, boat/paddle/life jacket rental, instruction fee and insurance.
