Yoga has many benefits from calming and focusing the mind to increasing physical strength and flexibility. This session will provide an opportunity to explore basic yoga poses or asanas, many of which may be done either on a mat or in a chair. Simple breathing techniques called pranayama will be used along with the asanas as a way of deepening our inner awareness. Each practice will end with a final resting pose for relaxation and a brief meditation.
