This workshop is an introductory to exercises and tools for self-improved vision and optical health. The techniques are simple, effective, and easy to use and empowers individuals to improve their eyesight naturally. Building on techniques pioneered by ophthalmologist William Bates, Meir Schneider developed this self-help program, which includes basic principles of natural eyesight improvement, exercises to increase visual acuity and ocular health, Tibetan yoga practices to refresh the eyes and mind, and on-the-spot techniques to ease reading, driving and computer eyestrain. This workshop can also help those with near- or far-sightedness, cataracts, eye fatigue, computer vision syndrome or other afflictions. It contains all the necessary information and tools people need to begin a self-healing routine at home.
Meir Schneider, PhD, LMT, founder of the School for Self-Healing, is an international author, holistic mind-body educator, pioneer therapist, and inspiring speaker. A healer who nurtures self-empowerment in others, Meir's journey began at the age of seventeen when he embarked upon his own self-healing to overcome congenital blindness. From blindness to sight; from functioning through Braille to reading without glasses and driving a car! The principles he discovered while working to develop functional vision, became the foundation for his breakthrough system of therapeutic, self-healing exercises, effective for many illnesses and disorders. His method combines movement, massage, breathing, mental imagery, and joy.

"I came to the School for Self-Healing a year ago intrigued about this: a man born blind who has taught himself how to see. I found a miracle shaped by Meir Schneider through diligence, hope, and a sense of humor. Although I have worn glasses for sixteen years, I am learning how to reintegrate my visual system with mind and body, profoundly changing my yoga practice. This has brought breath and vitality directly to my skull, neck, and upper shoulder regions, thus helping me improve in arm-balances. This has added the concept of sensory integration to my practice. I hope you can find time to attend Meir's workshop and play with the interface that connects your inner and outer worlds!"

"Meir taught me how to heal myself, whereas other methods only gave me temporary fixes that did not last. He taught me to listen deeply to my body and respond with gentle movement, and gave me tools to get well. It took me 1½ years to heal my C5S1 bulging disc. I went from unable to walk at all to hiking the Himalayas. Now I teach what I learned to others at Kaiser Oakland in Adult Education and Behavioral Health classes on how to Build a Healthy Back."
Dorthea Dorenz, Berkeley, CA
"I have been impressed with the work of Meir Schneider for many years, having personally seen improvements in patients' vision of those who have worked with him. The ability of the visual system to adapt and regain function is still full of mysteries. Through Meir's work, we are finding some of those mysteries to be realities."
August Reader III, M.D., F.A.C.S., Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology, California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco
"Meir Schneider offers remarkable techniques that empower you to take charge of your own health and unlock the body’s ability to heal itself. Through his innovative therapeutic movements and exercise, he has helped thousands of individuals throughout the world facilitate their own self-healing. I have personally seen functional improvement in a number of patients where the medical community had literally told them ‘there was nothing further that could be done.’ Meir Schneider is on the cutting edge of improving the quality of our heath and well-being."
