anxiety is a normal part of the human experience. however, it can knock some of us off balance, make us freeze-up, limit our experience in relationships, and block our greater fulfillment and happiness in life.
if anxiety is having its way with you, this workshop series is our offering of support. learn to tame and even befriend anxiety through yoga postures, pranayama (breath-work) and emotional awareness.
sessions will include a brief lecture, insight-oriented meditation, yoga practice, and finish with a group discussion. this is an opportunity to soothe your nervous system, practice yoga, find a safe place for sharing, and embrace the wisdom your anxiety has to offer. come and let’s create calm together.
please arrive prepared to practice with comfortable clothes, a yoga mat, hydration, and a personal journal. the yoga practice will be at a intermediate-beginner’s level, previous practice is encouraged. please contact kevin (at) tranquilspace.com with any questions that you might have.
cost $150 for 4 week series –or- $50 per session. limited space, early registration encouraged.
week 1: body awareness- explore the physical symptoms through breath and asana
week 2: emotional awareness- explore intellectual and emotional realms of consciousness
week 3: uncovering the roots of anxiety- through guided vinyasa, hip and heart openers
week 4: finding balance- explore equanimity with an open heart and mind, plus deep relaxation
