New to Yoga? This class will offer you a comprehensive overview of the necessary building blocks needed to set the foundation for a lifelong yoga practice. In this sequential series designed just for yoga newbies, we cover all the fundamentals. With the guidance of a teacher sensitive to the needs of beginner students, explore the possibilities yoga offers by learning the basic postures, breathing techniques, etiquette and philosophy in an easy to understand format. We recommend this series as a prequel to the basics class on our regular class schedule. The program takes place over 6 consecutive weeks.

Cory has taught yoga for over 10 years graduating from New York Iyengar Institute’s Teacher Training, where she was mentored by Mary Dunn and James Murphy. She thanks her current mentors Marcela Clavijo and Carrie Owerko who keep her on the the right path. Cory works with attention to detail and a linking of clear intention to organs of action, to help her students support their asana practice while interweaving the philosophy of the yoga sutras.
