the yoga basics series will focus on proper alignment and techniques for getting into, being, and getting out of basic poses. in this series, we will work pose by pose from the basics of the 'vinyasa' to standing poses, forward bends, back bending & strengthening, seated poses, twists, & reclining poses. proper alignment and safety in the postures will be emphasized. learn how the body and mind can benefit from these poses when done correctly. we will also cover basic breathing and relaxation techniques. this class is ideal for those who have not had any exposure to yoga and and also for students who have been away from their practice for a while, or simply looking to discover the mechanics of each pose. cost: $70 for the 4 week series or drop in to a single session for $20.
