YIN YOGA IN A YANG WORLD with Connie Phillips, RYT Thursdays at 5:30 pm
Yin yoga is characterized by slow, relaxed movement and stillness, targeting the deeper connective tissues of the body such as the ligaments, fascia, and joints. In this class participants will explore different breathing techniques and the body’s energy meridians. Most Yin postures focus on the hips, pelvis and lower spine, but the shoulder joints will also be included. While Yin yoga is suitable for almost all levels of students, it is especially helpful for people with sturdy or athletic builds who are experiencing tightness in their bodies framework.
