In conjunction with the San Francisco debut of Reggie Wilson/Fist & Heel Performance Group on Feb 9 &10, this thought provoking and emotionally charged topic will be the focus of a public forum moderated by the esteemed Dr. Halifu Osumare, professor at UC Davis, and features award-winning New York choreographer Reggie Wilson in conversation with Bay Area artists Thomas Simpson, Mahea Uchiyama and Joanna Haigood. Panelists will explore the creative process informing traditional, contemporary and hybrid forms and the future of dance by communities of color.
