David Yates, a teacher at Solon High School and an ALS activist, passed away on October 6, 2000 of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. His spirit lives on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, teacher, students and the Solon Community who will gather for the 12th Annual Yates 5K Run to celebrate his life and raise money to assist local individuals with ALS. Registration – Pre-registered entries must be received by Wednesday June 1, 2011. See mailing address on form below. Race day registration and packet pick-up will take place in the Solon High School Pool Lobby (west end of building) Beginning at 7:15am.
Entry Fee - $20.00 for pre-registered/$25.00 on race day
• Children’s Run – Donations are welcome!
Start Time – 5K Run/Walk Starts at 8:30am.
• Children’s Run follows the race.
T-Shirts – 5K Participants will receive a specially designed Tech-Shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed ton only first 400 registrants only.
Post-Run Fun – Door Prizes, Refreshments, and Face Painting
Awards – Trophies will be awarded to the top three male and female overall and three deep in the following categories: 11 & under, 12-14,15-19,20-24,25-29,30-34,35-39,40-44,45-49,50-54,55-59,60 & over, wheelchair.
