Rogue Machine proudly presents the WORLD PREMIERE of
YARD SALE SIGNS
By Jennie Webb
OPENING Saturday, September 25, 2010
Los Angeles, CA – A comedy about mothers, daughters, and other things that imply some sort of responsibility. A shopping trip where characters find themselves examining much more than their fashion choices. With an absurdist edge, this sometimes ruthless journey throws light on the stuff that we all accumulate as we move through life…and the rather circuitous paths we follow to convince ourselves we're rid of it.
JENNIE WEBB (Playwright) is a Los Angeles playwright whose works, including Anticipating Leftovers, Remodeling Plans, The Complete Story of the War, Men & Boxes, Tilting, Buying a House and Unclaimed Assets, have been presented on stages throughout the U.S. and internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Critics have called her style "somewhere between ‘The Simpsons’ and John Guare…riddled with wicked wit." Jennie’s work have been published by Heinemann Press, International Centre for Women Playwrights, and supported by A.S.K. Theater Projects, The Playwrights Center in Minneapolis' PlayLabs, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights and The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum where she is currently playwright-in-residence and runs "Botanicum Seedlings: A Development Series for Playwrights." Jennie is co-founder of the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative, a member of The Playwrights Union, and she works as a freelance arts writer. Recently profiled on NY Theatre.com, she is also the recipient of a 2010 Women in Theatre Red Carpet Award.
