The class is 1 1/2 hours long. The first hour is devoted to qigong, warm-ups, some theory, and energy medicine - where any issues of pain, discomfort, or symptoms of illness or stress are addressed and participants learn a repertoire of self-help techniques to keep their energies flowing and in balance. Of particular benefit for regulating blood pressure, addressing insomnia, promoting emotional and physical balance, grounding and centering, TMJ, colds and allergies, skin issues, hip, shoulder and knee pain - in short, the gamut of those little annoying symptoms that can be so annoying. The last 1/2 hour is devoted to the t'ai chi form itself.
