LNDLien, Yancy Deron is headlining “Plugged Up,” the second annual Racing MS Peggy event on Thursday, June 28th at 9 pm. The Old Dish Bistro in Old Town Pasadena will venue the fundraiser, to find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis, in which all proceeds will be donated to the National MS Society.

Deron can relate to the cause stating, “My older cousin Ebony will be 31 years old this year...She has been living with MS for over 7 years...I grew up with her. Now she has been crippled to a wheelchair...THIS is the least I can do.” Deron believes this event encompasses the literal meaning of the Live Now | Die Later movement.

Multiple Sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects the ability of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord to communicate with each other effectively, inhibiting movement. Approximately 250,000 to 350,000 people in the United States have been diagnosed with the disease, including former talk show host Montel Williams, comedian Richard Pryor, and most recently publicized Jack Osbourne.

This “MTV Unplugged” type event will feature live entertainment. Deron will be performing with a live band, showcasing new music as well as some old favorites. A full bar will be provided and food will be sponsored by Pasadena’s own, Perry’s Joint. Donations start at $7, come support this great event, and more importantly help raise funds to find a cure for MS.

Yancy Deron began his career performing at local functions, and has since emerged with an impressive list of accolades, including performing at the Cleveland Hip-Hop Awards, performances with Dom Kennedy and Fashawn, co-founding Aktiv Music Entertainment, releasing mixtapes Sweet Sixteens, Live Now (first of the Live Now | Die Later two-part saga), Outkast Chronicles, and most recently performing a sold out show at the Key Club in Hollywood with Ab-Soul of Top Dawg Entertainment. YD continues to show his versatility working in tandem with his producer Intricate Sound and collaborating with musical phenom Sincere on the sampler to Bad Bitches Good Weed, Aratchetphobia.
