Yamunotsav 2009 - Celebrating World Environment Day June 3, 2009

Swechha and The American Center present, Yamamunotsav 2009 brings together music environment and innovation. The event will feature musical performances by Bobby Cash Rahul Ram Swanand Kirkire and Piyush Mishra.The program will have a Climate Solutions Mela that will display the ecological initiatives taken and climate change solutions implemented by various organizations from different parts of the country. NGO s civil society groups and grassroots initiatives will promote and exhibit their green initiatives products services and messages such as solar lighting vermicomposting jute products recycled flex bags elephant poo paper herbal products organic food products etc. The Mela seeks to bring together community initiatives committed to the cause of environmental integrity, as well as global practices fuelled by environment friendly ecologically geared technologies. Swechha s Green the Gap will launch its new line of Flex bags Swechha s latest recycling initiative. Green the Gap offers eco friendly and viable products and solutions to people who wish to bring some change to the environment. Introduction of the recycled Flex bags will be our addition to Swechha initiatives this year.
