Epic tales... Romance... Carnaval. Viver Brasil Dance Company invites audiences to an exhilarating and unforgettable tenth anniversary celebration under the stars at the Ford Amphitheatre. With "Xirê!Celebrations," Viver Brasil rejoices in life, love and a decade of heart-stopping dedication to the arts of Bahia.

For ten years Viver Brasil has explored ancient and contemporary art forms and the spiritual strength of Brazilian culture through breathtaking and passionate Afro Brazilian dance and live music. Now, Xirê (pronounced She-RAY) promises to be its most explosive show yet, infusing traditional stories, legends and myths with the intoxicating movements, colors and sounds of contemporary Brazil.

The LA Weekly calls Viver Brasil "Breathless and colorful... from the first sound of the atabaque drums, a surge of electricity sweeps through the audience." Wrote the Los Angeles Times, "If the members' exuberance could be bottled, Viver Brasil would be the drink of choice."
