Join Miami Life Center for a Spring Party with Devotional Singer Wynne Paris! Don't miss this chance to hang out with your fellow yogis, hear beautiful music and connect with your community.

As a Bhakti, or devotional singer, Paris draws upon influences from Indian and Tibetan folk music as well as gospel, blues & jazz , and chiefly from Kirtan: a mystical yogic form of singing. He uses tabla loops, samples, chanting, percussion, an innovative guitar style, and a generous helping of Sarod (an esoteric Indian instrument) to serve up a spiritually funky and enlightening sound.

Artist/producer Wynne Paris tours and performs as Groovananda, a world beat, Jazz and Yoga fusion act that includes Chanting, stories about Yoga, Music and Spirituality. Groovananda has a participatory flavor, the musicians encourage the audience to sing along, clap, dance and meditate. Paris, a leading proponent of kirtan, has been involved with the emerging genre of yoga music for over a decade. He has recorded, produced and performed with Krishna Das, the pioneer and most popular artist of the genre. Wynne’s recorded music features performances by Badal Roy (tabla for Miles Davis), Rick Allen (drums Def Leppard), JT Thomas (organ Bruce Hornsby), Mark Karan (guitar Ratdog), Bhagavan Das, Jim Donovan (Rusted Root) and free jazz pioneer Perry Robinson.
