About the readers/performers:
Ted Chiang is the author of the novella "The Lifecycle of Software Objects," which is a Nebula Award nominee. His stories include the Hugo Award-winning "Exhalation," the Hugo-, Nebula- and Locus Award winning "Hell is the Absence of God," and the Sidewise Award-winning "Seventy-Two Letters." His stories were collected in the Locus Award-winning Stories of Your Life and Others.
Melissa Febos is the author of the memoir Whip Smart, about her career as a professional dominatrix. She co-curates and hosts the music and reading series Mixer, on New York's Lower East Side. She's working on a novel about "music, madness, and dioramas." Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Dissent, The Southeast Review, The Rambler and The Nervous Breakdown.
Lee Konstantinou is the author of Pop Apocalypse: A Possible Satire. He also has a book of academic writing coming out, Countercultural Capital: The Politics of Irony and Postwar Fiction. And he is the editor of the forthcoming The Legacy of David Foster Wallace: Critical and Creative Assessments. He has lectured on the work of William Gibson and Thomas Pynchon.
