Wright Library On-the-Road Book Club @ Starbucks April 7, 2009

On Tuesday, April 7 at 7:00 p.m. the Wright Library On-The-Road Book Club will discuss Nineteen Minutes at the Starbucks in Oakwood. This year’s Big Read community reading selection, Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult is about Peter, an alienated teen who opens fire on his classmates and kills 10 people. Flashbacks reveal how his parents and teachers failed him and how constant bullying caused Peter to go over the edge. Those involved with the Oakwood Community initiative for the “40 Developmental Assets” will find this novel especially relevant and absorbing. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy coffee and conversation. Starbucks is located at 2424 Far Hills Avenue.
