Wounded Warrior Project 8k Run September 16, 2012

While most people associate the term “veteran” with soldiers who have served in wars long past, a new, young generation of warriors is changing the way we appreciate and assist those who have served our country. All veterans face challenges as they return to society, and today’s wounded warriors are meeting extraordinary obstacles. These include visible, physical injuries as well as invisible wounds, like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and combat stress. Please come out to help us honor and empower our returning wounded warriors and foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded warriors in our nation’s history.
