Worthing Veterans Weekend June 20, 2008

The event is in Steyne Gardens, Worthing, with a stage erected for the weekend, refreshments, stalls, and information displays plus Military vehicles and artefacts.

Saturday: our youth entertain us from the stage and arena, and show us their projects reflecting on what they have learnt about veterans at school. They have the chance to meet veterans.

Sunday: run almost entirely by Ex-Service Associations, with stalls and displays. Morning: a drumhead service, with VIPs from all over Sussex, a parade through town and standards laid on historic drums. Followed this year by the Lancaster flypast, then concerts in the afternoon.
