WORN-OUT CHAIRS TURNED INTO WORKS OF ART
NOW ON DISPLAY AT FINGER FURNITURE

“heART Chairs” On Display Through August 25

HOUSTON, TX – A number of old, worn-out chairs, transformed into cool “heART chairs,” are now on display through August 25 at Finger Furniture, 4001 Gulf Freeway at Cullen.

More than 30 of the 150 “heART chairs” are on display at Finger Furniture to promote the Furniture, Arts & Décor Expo to be held at the George R. Brown Convention Center, August 28-29. Finger Furniture is open Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon – 6 p.m.

In addition, a preview of the “heART chairs” will be held for the participating artists and supporters of the Expo at Finger Furniture on Tuesday, August 24 from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. with lite bites and beverages from Luby’s Catering.

The more 150 chairs have been commissioned by notables including internationally acclaimed artist Bert Long, Jr., Taft McWhorter and Texas artist Sam Caldwell.

Proceeds of The Furniture, Arts & Décor Expo, including the “heART chair” auction, benefit The Furniture Bank, a non-profit entity making empty houses homes by providing furniture and household items to more than 1,500 families each year through partnerships with over 70 social service agencies in Houston and surrounding counties.
