World Water Day "Walk for Water" March 21, 2006

Join Water For People DC Committee for a ?Walk for Water? on March 22, 2006.

Interested participants should meet on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at Noon on Wednesday, March 22.

The walk will be 3 miles long circling through the Mall.

The walk is designed to be symbolic of and drawn attention to the plight of millions of women and children in developing countries who must walk miles every day simply to retrieve water for their families.

The walk is sponsored by Starbucks and Ethos Water,
along with Water For People, Rotary International, and Net Impact.
