Tarot-To-Go announces its World Tarot Day celebration to be held from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2007, at the First Unitarian Universalist Center of San Francisco, located at 1187 Franklin Street, San Francisco, California.
The event will feature leading Tarot authors and experts, including:
*Mary K. Greer, international Tarot teacher and author of numerous Tarot reference works, including Tarot for Yourself, Understanding the Tarot Court, and Mary K. Greer's 21 Ways to Read a Tarot Card.
*James Wanless, creator of The Voyager Tarot, and author of New Age Tarot and Intuition for the 21st Century.
*Joseph Martin, creator of The Quest Tarot and author of The Compass Guide to The Quest Tarot.
*Thalassa, Tarot teacher and Producer of the San Francisco Bay Area Tarot Symposium.
Tarot's increasing relevance in the 21st century has moved it far beyond a mere parlor game of fortune telling to a practical tool for negotiating modern life. Readers work with Tarot in new, innovative ways:
*as a means of increasing self awareness through personal work or in a counseling setting;
*as a tool for personal spiritual development;
*as a method of problem analysis and conflict resolution; and,
*for practical applications in business management and consulting.
New books on Tarot and new deck designs are being released each week to further explore the uses of Tarot in both personal and professional development. The speakers will discuss their approaches and philosophies of Tarot, as well as offer practical advice on working with the Tarot.
The speakers will also be available for readings and book signing throughout the day.
The festivities include lunch, and the day winds up with a panel discussion featuring all of the presenters, followed by a raffle of amazing prizes.
Tickets are $75 in advance, $85 at the door. Registration can be made via PayPal to Events (at) Tarot-To-Go.net, or by mail to the company offices.
