World Tai Chi Day is a day when Tai Chi practitioners from all over the world come together.
They begin to do Tai Chi in a time zone. This continues around the world, unfolding like a lotus flower from one time zone to the next, spreading the intention of peace around the world.
Tai Chi Day will begin at 9 am in our time zone on Saturday, April 25, in Whitewater Park in Rancho Mirage with opening ceremonies of the Dragon Dance and drummers. At 10 am the Tai Chi will begin. Afterward, there will be Tai Chi classes and demonstrations as well as demonstrations of TAi Chi swords and other forms of Tai Chi. Schools from all over the area will attend and will be practicing various forms of this ancient art
FREE classes taught by Head Instructor, Noel Pittman, will be held the three Tuesdays prior to World Tai Chi Day at 12 pm at Dance in the Light Spiritual Center, 71-537 Hwy 111 in Rancho Mirage, Suite L, so that all will be able to participate.
There will be a benefit luncheon for the nonprofit Tai Chi Education and Research Institute at P.F. Chang's.
