World Stock Dog Championship July 10, 2011

Talk about four-legged focus! The annual World Stock Dog Championship is one of the most compelling events of the Calgary Stampede with these startlingly agile and intelligent dogs moving three sheep through a challenging course and into a pen in less than four minutes.

This event is sanctioned by the United States Border Collie Handlers Association and the Alberta Stock Dog Association. The competition will start with 60 entries, but only the top 15 will advance to the championship final round on Monday, July 11 at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

It’s doggone challenging — and fun.
