World Ocean Day Celebration June 6, 2009

STAR ECO Station in partnership with the City of Rocklin joins over 800 leading aquariums, zoos, museums and conservation organizations around the world to celebrate our worlds oceans through fun educational and inspirational activities. On this day we will unveil the new STORM DRAIN EXHIBIT sponsored in part by the Teichert Foundation. Its a fun, new inter-active exhibit for all. Learn how to protect area watersheds, rivers and ultimately the ocean. Ocean themed crafts and activities, art show & auction, Memoirs of a Mermaid, view educational DVD's on storm water pollutants, live performances from STAR Youth Orchestra & theatre students, sign our global message board, adopt-a-storm drain, carnival games, leave your mark at the ECO Station and paint a tile to decorate our tortoise run plus exotic animal encounters and much more. Fun for the whole family! Come to the STAR ECO Station Environmental Children's Museum & Exotic Wildlife Rescue Facility and learn how you can help save the planet.
