World Cup Game: England vs. USA - LIVE at The Contented Cow Pub and Wine Bar! June 12, 2010

The Contented Cow will broadcast the England vs. USA game LIVE from Rustenburg, South Africa on a large screen TV on Saturday, June 12. The United States will face England at the World Cup for the first time since a famous upset 60 years ago when America scored a 1-0 victory at the 1950 tournament in Brazil.

The festivities will begin at noon with a pre-game discussion that will include the basics about the World Cup and polling the audience to determine what other World Cup games should be shown live at the Cow.

The game itself is scheduled to start at 1:30 p.m. CT.

So bring your flags, facepaint and scarfs to enjoy a pint or two during the game. And, gentle readers, we remind you that -- at the Cow -- the game is called "football", not "soccer".
