World Culture Family Day: Chinese New Year Celebration November 30, 2005

Penn Museum celebrates the Year of Dog at this 25th annual day-long extravaganza. New Year traditions are celebrated throughout the day, including music and dance performances by the Jade River Dancers, the Mei Mei Dancers, and the Philadelphia Chinese Opera Society. There are children?s workshops, storytelling, arts and crafts, and martial and healing arts traditions. The day ends with Cheung Hung Gar Kung Fu Academy and the fabulous Lion Dance.
