World Breastfeeding Week July 31, 2007

La Leche League(LLL) in the USA World Breastfeeding Week Celebrations encompass five months of events and activities to raise breastfeeding awareness and to fundraise to support breastfeeding in the USA. These celebrations highlight the mission of La Leche League in our communities and among those we know. If you are new to WBW Celebrations, learn how to get started here.

LLL in the USA 2007 WBWC theme is The Power of One. Groups may also use the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) theme: Breastfeeding: The 1st Hour - Save ONE million babies!* Or, as always, any other theme that meets their needs.

The Power of One may refer to the first hour after birth, the first hour a preemie nurses at the breast, the first pumping of breastmilk for a baby in the NICU, a mother's first LLL meeting, etc.
