PhD Special Forces Officer, Colonel Joseph Felter examines counterinsurgency operations in the Philippines and demonstrates that small local units possessing superior leadership, training, and access to local information are more likely to conduct effective and discriminate counterinsurgency, especially if combined with trained elite forces at this FREE event. Colonel Felter will relate lessons learned from the Philippine operations to ongoing counterinsurgency efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
