Most traditional management techniques were designed for people working together face-to-face - in the same place during the same hours. Well, times have changed. These days, team members from the same location are likely to telecommute some days, while others work in different cities and time zones, and even in a variety of languages.
Coordinating the work, interactions and infra-structure of disbursed team members - so the work gets done, and team members feel connected both to each other and the group's goals - takes unique skills and tools. Whether your own team is distributed over time and space, or you are working with others in your company in that situation, you'll gain knowledge and skills valuable for effectively building and managing virtual teams.
During the workshop you'll discover how to:
-Build trust and commitment within a virtual team
-Communicate effectively across distances of space, time and language
-Access and align the work of disbursed team members
-Use tools to monitor project progress remotely
