Workshop - Creative Dance Therapy, by Tripura Kashyap.

Tripura Kashyap is a dance therapist, choreographer and dance educator based in Delhi. She received a degree in classical dance from Kalakshetra, college of fine arts Chennai. She studied Creative Dance Therapy at Hancock Center in Wisconsin, U.S.A and holds an M.A degree in Psychology and received the Ashoka International Fellowship for her innovative work in dance/movement therapy.

She travels widely in India and abroad conducting workshops and lecture demonstrations on contemporary dance, Dance-in-education and dance therapy. Her book entitled "My body, My wisdom - A handbook of Creative Dance Therapy" was published by Penguin in 2005.

The workshop is open to dancers as well as special educators, school-teachers and therapists who are interested in using movement in their work. The workshop will help participants use movement in sessions with children or adults they work with.
