The Getty Research Institute annually hosts a series of "works-in-progress" presentations by art historians, artists, and architects on their current work related to the Getty Research Institute's scholar theme for the year. This series of programs is organized around the scholar theme Religion and Ritual. The intent of the works-in-progress series is to promote discussion of current topics and themes among interested scholars and students. Presentations are followed by roundtable discussions among the speaker, a guest respondent, and audience.
