Work in Progress are a staple of Atlanta's rockin' blues scene. Judy Insley spent her early childhood on 77 acres of rolling Michigan fields surrounded by horses and music, which became her passion in life. After years of performing "cover" tunes and occasional originals in various folk/rock bands, duos and trios, a health crisis, surgery and lengthy recovery in late 1998 through 1999 forced her to sit back and re-evaluate her musical goals and direction. Inspired by Dr. Wayne Dyer during a lecture in which he admonished "Don't die with your music still in you," Judy decided to concentrate on her songwriting and step out as a solo artist. Insley is also a member of the Southeast Michigan's Songwriters Anonymous collective and also teaches acoustic guitar, beginning mandolin and beginning songwriting.
