John Pilkington has been called “one of Britain’s greatest tellers of travellers’ tales”. At least, that’s what his website says!

He’s a journalist and broadcaster, making adventure documentaries with the BBC World Service and Radio 4, most recently “On the Trail of Butch & Sundance”.

His travels have taken him to Africa, Latin America, Nepal, the Silk Road, the former Soviet Republics and many other fascinating places.
