Local author Violet L. Ryan scheduled to celebrate publication
Pendleton, IN. - Violet L. Ryan, author of Tennessee Moonlight published by Whiskey Creek Press, is a long-time resident of Pendleton, Indiana where she and husband Denny Ryan raised three beautiful daughters. On Saturday, August 2, 2008 from 3:00 to 6:00pm she will greet patrons and sign books at Word for Word, a Pendleton bookstore located at 108 West State Street.
This author writes in several genres, but if you like romantic fiction, you'll already have a common bond. Whether she spins a tale of mystery, suspense, fantasy, or romance, a developing relationship between hero and heroine is central to the plot. Violet has created stories all her life. It’s second nature to turn even the smallest detail into a full-blown story. Tennessee Moonlight developed from a dream about a backwoods Tennessee woman’s confrontation with a northern construction worker. With just that snippet, a novel resulted.
In addition to authoring books, Violet has written articles for newspapers and Christian communications. Published short stories include Rachel’s Return to Christmas, Santa’s Swan Song, Blackjack, The Snake Slayer, and Family Treasure, also an occasional poem.
Violet participates in Midwest Writers Workshops at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and belongs to Writers Ink of Central Indiana.
Word for Word will display Tennessee Moonlight. The author will offer signed copies for sale.
