WOOFSTOCK: A Festival for Dogs & People will be a groovy time for the family and Fido on Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 9AM-2PM in Balboa Park at the corner of Park Blvd. and Presidents Way. Celebrate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock with your pooch with 60's tunes provided by 105.7 FM The Walrus! Festival features flyball, disc dogs, a K9 playground, contests, great shopping, delicious food and more! Special appearance by Jon Provost, who played Timmy in TV's Lassie. Easy Walk n' Roll Fun Dog Walk precedes the festival. All proceeds benefit Canine Companions for Independence (CCI), which provides assistance dogs to people with disabilities completely free of charge.
