Woodstock Theatre Presents A Free Screening Of “Arthur Christmas” As Part of Woodstock’s Victorian Christmas Kid’s Day December 15, 2012

Woodstock, IL – Classic Cinemas’ Woodstock Theatre welcomes your family to a FREE screening of the hilarious and heart-warming holiday film “Arthur Christmas” (PG) as part of Woodstock’s Victorian Christmas celebration. The film will be screening on December 15th at 10 AM at the Woodstock Theatre, 209 East Main Street, for kids of all ages to enjoy. Arthur Christmas (2011) is set on Christmas Eve with Santa’s elves preparing for his high-tech holiday delivery when a slight mishap causes a single present to go undelivered. However, Santa’s youngest son Arthur, a well-meaning but clumsy boy, makes it a personal mission to deliver the present to its rightful owner at any cost. Along Arthur’s hilarious adventure that has him carried off to strange new places, he learns the meaning of the Christmas spirit.

Victorian Christmas is a month-long celebration of Woodstock’s downtown district wherein the Historic Woodstock Square is transformed back to a Victorian motif for the duration of the holiday season. The Woodstock Theatre celebrates its 85th anniversary this year and is currently undergoing an expansion, which upon completion in Summer 2013, will feature eight auditoriums and restoration to its former glory of the 85-year-old original auditorium.
