Woodland Sensory Adventure April 1, 2011

Experience an early-spring evening on the sanctuary with your family and friends. After a short indoor introduction, we'll gather as a group and quietly head out to the field edges to witness the fascinating courtship display of the American woodcock, with its unusual vocalizations and aerial flights. Then we'll take a short walk to the woodlands and wetlands to listen for the trilling of spring frogs, owl calls, and the sounds of other night creatures. Registration is required.
