Born in Ireland, Roshani spent her childhood in St. Louis and now lives on the island of Kauai. A self-taught painter, her creativity is deeply linked with her meditative quality. Practicing Vipassana for many years, Roshani sometimes attends long silent inspiring retreats. Her painting itself becomes a meditation as it happens when the painter is so totally absorbed in the act of painting that the ego disappears. No longer a do-er, Roshani becomes a passage as if existence, or life itself, is painting through her.

Roshani’s paintings express the silence and joy happening in her innermost being. The play of colors and light communicate what words cannot say. She conveys her meditation experience through the colors in her paintings, resulting in the sum total of colors that are more, much more, and that ‘more’ is the meaning.
