What: “Women’s Annual Summer Bus Trip – Harrison area”
Description: Bus departs early (approx. 8:45 am) from 411 Dunsmuir Street, Vancouver to tour radio museum in Coquitlam, then off to lunch and to tour museums, farms, historic sites and gift shops in the Harrison area. Morning tour and presentation at SPARC Radio Museum to learn about radio and electronic communications, artifacts and history, with an emphasis on a Canadian perspective.
Lunch and tour at Kilby Historic Store and Farm at Harrison Mills, near Harrison Hot Springs. Traditional home-style lunch menu, where everything is made from scratch includes soup, sandwiches created on fresh, locally baked bread, a beverage and an assorted dessert tray.
After visit to another local museum in Agassiz, then walk past local shops and beach to experience downtown Harrison Hot Springs. With an afternoon stop for local produce at Kin’s Farm Market in Chilliwack, we expect a smooth ride back to Vancouver to end a lovely day.
