This prestigious award has been presented by Lighthouse Business & Professional Women for nearly half a century. Lighthouse BPW is the largest, most active chapter in the state. Its members represent successful women in every sector of the MS Gulf Coast’s business community.

To be eligible for this award, a candidate must have at least 10 years of work experience in her most recent career field. The candidate must live and/or work along the Mississippi Gulf Coast (Jackson, Harrison and Hancock County). A nominee does NOT need to be a current member of Lighthouse BPW.

This year we will recognize an outstanding woman in each of the following categories: Education, Medical, Corporate, Government/Military, and Nonprofit.

This year, we will also be honoring one woman as 2012 Young Careerist

A panel of independent judges makes their decisions based on the following criteria: Career Experience, Personal Achievements, Education, and Contributions to the Community.

An overall winner will be selected from these top 5 winners to receive Lighthouse Business & Professional Women’s 2012 Woman of the Year Award.
